About Us
Report
Being an IICRC-certified instructor requires more than just taking a few classes and passing a few tests.
IICRC-approved instructors are required to continue their education through classes as well as through industry participation as part of the IICRC's Instructor Maintenance Requirement Program (aka "the point system").
Education and advancing my skill sets are a passion I take very seriously.
I am an IICRC Instructor who also has certifications as an IICRC Master Textile Cleaner, IICRC Master Fire and Smoke Restorer, IICRC Master Water Restorer, and FCITS Certified Carpet Inspector.
Carpet Repair
Report
Let me help to clarify the types of carpet repair we do in the average home, by defining the various carpet repair techniques and processes and their application.
Bonded insert -requires removing the damaged carpet completely, preparing a suitable donor piece, sealing all edges of the area to receive new carpet, and all edges of the donor piece, Then permanently bonding them together.
Grafting -Is a process where the donor carpet and its primary backing are bonded to the existing secondary backing, providing a "seamless" repair.
Carpet Repair Prep

A: In order to do the best job possible, the room needs to be emptied completely.
If you can't empty the room completely, there are two options, either hire a moving company, or we can work together to facilitate the moving.
As an example, we can usually move that big dresser, but the mirror needs removed, and the drawers as well, then we can put the body of the dresser on furniture sliders, and move it out of the room while we stretch, then move it back into position before we leave.
We try hard to avoid unnecessary difficulties and costs wherever possible, so we will work with you make this happen, and try to make this as easy and cost effective as possible for you.
Carpet Seam Repair
Report
We see this all the time, either the seam splits down the middle, coming loose on 1 side, or it is losing fibers, creating a bare spot.
Thankfully, we can fix them All!
Tape fracture: where the seam tape is well adhered to the backing, but split down the middle.
Under heated iron used in the seaming process, so the glue is not fully melted/adhered to the backing.
Over heated iron used in the seaming process, where the glue melted and has spread too thinly to properly adhere to backing.
Unsealed edges causing a poor seam, and loss of fibers, sometimes even bare patches.
